Police ID One Arrested For Mayfair Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police have identified a suspect arrested for a Saturday night shooting in Mayfair.

According to police, the shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of Friendship Street (see previous story).

A 31-year-old man was shot at least twice before being transported first to Aria Torresdale Hospital and then by helicopter to Jefferson University Hospital.

Forty-four-year-old William Damm, of Friendship Street, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Police also recovered a firearm.

The victim is reportedly in serious condition.
