Police: Gun Held To Woman's Head During Northeast Philly Home Invasion

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police are investigating a home invasion in the Pennypack neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia early Friday morning.

This happened just after 1 a.m. on the 2800 block of Shipley Road.

Police say a 33-year-old woman told them she heard a noise in the basement. She went down to investigate and found three men wearing masks.

The woman then tells police one of the men put a towel over her head in the kitchen and pointed a gun at her while the other men ransacked the home. She was told "don't look at us, or we will shoot."

The victim believes $800 cash was the only thing taken.

The woman was not injured, police say. Either were her two children who were upstairs sleeping during the incident. It appears the robbers never entered their rooms.

Police are now checking for fingerprints as the investigation continues.
