Police Go On Dog Chase Through Cherry Hill On National 'Love Your Pet' Day

CHERRY HILL, NJ (CBS) -- Around the nation on Saturday people celebrated National 'Love Your Pet' Day. Saturday morning Cherry Hill police officers responded to reports of a dog running through traffic. The officers reported near Haddonfield Road where the chase began. The officers kept trying to get the little guy under control, but the pup kept inching out of their hands.

This chase also affected traffic as officers even had to stop stop traffic on Route 38 near the Cherry Hill Mall.

The police were able to get the dog under control shortly after.
