Police: Fight Leads To Stabbing In Montgomery County

CHELTENHAM, Pa. (CBS) -- Police say a fight between to roommates led to a stabbing overnight in Cheltenham, Montgomery County.

It happened just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Davis Road.

Police say two men, believed to be roommates, got into an altercation, which esculated when one man grabbed a knife and stabbed the other in the chest and the arm.

He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and is expected to survive.

Authorities say the alleged stabber also showed signs of injury and heavy bleeding. He was taken to Abington Hospital for treatment.

Police say there was also a woman inside the home at the time of the incident, but she was unharmed.

There was no immediate word on any charges.

Police continue to investigate.
