Police: Delaware Woman Found Dead In Trash Can

WILMINGTON, De. (CBS) -- Wilmington Police are investigating after they say a deceased woman was discovered inside of a trash receptacle on Wednesday.

Police say officers responded to the 800 block of E. 22nd Street around 3:24 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Officials say they were on scene as part of a suspicious death investigation.

That is when the body of an unknown woman was found inside of a trash receptacle. Authorities describe her as an African American woman, 18-25-years-old.

Officials say the body will undergo an autopsy to try to determine the cause of death and identity of the woman.
