Police: Del. Man Responsible For 10 Burglaries Behind Bars

NEW CASTLE COUNTY, DE (CBS) -- Police in Delaware have arrested a 19-year-old burglary suspect in connection to numerous burglaries and other crimes committed in Wilmington and Newark.

Authorities say, since August 1, New Castle County officers have responded to 10 burglaries, including incidents at Grendon Farms, Murray Manor, Elmwood, Penndrew Manor, Heritage Farm and Eastburn Acres communities. They also responded to a trespassing complaint involving thefts from vehicles.

An investigation led officials to 19-year-old Thomas Lowe, of Bear, Del.

Lowe was arrested Tuesday and charged with 10 counts of burglary in thethird degree, four counts of felony theft, seven count of misdemeanor theft, misdemeanor trespassing and unlawful use of a credit card.

He was arraigned and committed to Young Correctional Institute after failing to post bail.
