Police: Darby Borough Man Arrested In Sexual Assault Of Teen

By Mike Dougherty

DARBY BOROUGH, Pa., (CBS) -- Police in Darby Borough say a 18-year-old man is in jail and facing sexual assault and kidnapping charges for an alleged attack on a 14-year-old girl this week.

Kassim Hill turned himself into police Friday after hiding for a couple of days. Darby Borough police chief Robert Smythe says the 18-year-old lured the victim into his house on the 200 block of 9th Street Wednesday. A neighbor came knocking when he heard screems from inside, and that's when Hill ran off.

Chief Smythe calls Hill a dangerous man with a violent history.

"There's a lot of red flags that went up that we're thinking about. I have concerns that someone else has been assaulted, touched, in any way violated and haven't told mom or dad," said Smythe.

Smythe asks anyone with more information about Hill or to report a previous assault, contact Darby police at (610) 586-1100.
