Police: Chester County Pastor Wanted For Sexually Assaulting Teen Girl Is In Ecuador

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A former pastor who is wanted in Chester County on charges he molested a teenager is out of the country, but is expected to return to face the charges later this week.

Former pastor Jacob Malone, 33, is wanted on rape and institutional sexual assault charges on allegations he molested a 17-year-old who he'd invited to come live with his family.

West Whiteland Township police detective Scott Pezick says they were contacted by attorney who was hired by Malone. The attorney says Malone is in Ecuador, but will return this week to turn himself in.

Malone was most recently a pastor at a church in Downingtown. Police say he first met his victim in Arizona when she was 12. When she was 17, he invited her to come live with him and his family in Minnesota. That's where the alleged inappropriate contact began. Police say it continued when Malone moved to Exton last year.

The victim also alleges, since she turned 18, Malone gave her alcohol and molested her while she was extremely drunk.
