Police Cruiser And Taxi Cab Collide In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- An accident involving a police cruiser and a taxi cab sent a police officer and two others to the hospital with minor injuries overnight. No one was seriously hurt.

A female officer was taken to Penn Presbyterian hospital to be checked out. She was treated and released.

Two people in the cab were also checked for minor injuries.

Police say the officer was responding to a call of a person with a gun when the two cars collided at 56th Street and Haverford Avenue around 3am Tuesday.

Police say the squad car's lights and sirens were on at the time of the accident.
