Philadelphia Police Vehicle Found With Burnt Piece Of Paper Coming From Tank

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to Philadelphia Police, a police car was vandalized on Monday night in the 35th Police District.

Police say that the car was parked in a police lot at the 35th District Headquarters at Broad Street and Champlost Avenue in the city's Ogontz section. Around 8:30, officials say the car was discovered in the lot with it's gas tank opened.

The cap was placed on the ground, and authorities say a burnt piece of paper was sticking out of the gas tank. Police say the paper was lit previously, but it appeared that it did not catch.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
