Police Arrest Woman Responsible For Back-To-Back Bank Robberies In NJ

HAMILTON, NJ (CBS) – Authorities have arrested the woman they believe is responsible for back-to-back bank robberies in New Jersey.

Hamilton Police along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Hamilton Field Office have identified the suspect as 42-year-old Josephine Sari of Chesterfield, NJ.

Police believe Sari is responsible for robbing two banks within a 24 hour time span. One on Friday, May 13, 2016 and another on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the TD Banks located at 1130 Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road and 3470 Quakerbridge Road.

After speaking with a bank employee, officials found that an unarmed white female entered the bank and handed a note to the employee demanding money. She received an unknown amount of money before fleeing.

Officials released several images of the suspect, which originally led them to believe the suspect was 60-70 years old, 5'6" in height with blonde hair.

Sari has been charged with robbery and other related offenses and held on $200,000 full bail.
