Police Arrest Suspect Believed Responsible For Robbery Spree In Del.

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware have arrested a suspect believed responsible for robbing or attempting to rob at least eight businesses in New Castle County.

On Thursday, Nov. 20, John A. Taylor, 46, was arrested and charged with two counts of Robbery 1st degree, four counts of Attempted Robbery 1st degree, three counts of Robbery 2nd degree, and Attempted Robbery 2nd degree.

Police say that the latest incident involving the suspect happened on Nov. 19 at 9:50 a.m., when Taylor entered the PNC Bank at 1 E. Basin Road in New Castle. Taylor demanded cash from the teller, who complied, and the suspect then fled.

Taylor is also suspected of being responsible for seven other incidents that happened at various stores in the Wilmington area over the last week or so.
