Police Arrest Man Who Says He Accidentally Shot His Girlfriend

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—On January 5th, police responded to the 1400 block of Unity Street for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers were met by 36-year-old Roger Morrison who said he accidentally shot his girlfriend.

Officers then located the victim, a 26-year-old female, in bed with a gunshot wound to her forehead.

The victim was transported to Einstein Hospital in extremely critical condition.

Morrison was taken into custody without incident and charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act and related offenses.
