Police Announce Surveillance Camera Registration Program In Moorestown
MOORESTOWN, N.J., (CBS) -- Police in Moorestown, New Jersey have announced a residential and commercial surveillance camera registration program to fight crime.
They are asking homeowners and business owners to register their surveillance cameras.
Police say footage captured by those cameras can be vital in solving crimes.
According to police, having people register their cameras can save time allowing officers to more easily track down video evidence.
"We're not going to access your system, we're going to contact you if we think your camera may have captured something and we'll make arrangements with you to view the video if you so desire," said Moorestown Police Lt. Lee Lieber.
