Police: American Red Cross Headquarters In Center City Vandalized With 4 Swastikas

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Symbols of hate were plastered on the American Red Cross building in Center City on Sunday morning. Police say they found four swastikas spray-painted on the front pillars of the building on the 2200 block of Chestnut Street on Sunday morning.
The swastikas have since been painted over.
Police say at least one other swastika was found a block away.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident.
Eyewitness News has reached out to the American Red Cross for a comment.
The incident comes as the Anti-Defamation League reports a record-breaking rise in antisemitism. It says more than 2,100 anti-semitic incidents were reported last year in the U.S. -- 919 involved vandalism.
