Police: 3 Men Shot By 4 Different Gunmen In Southwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Three men were shot in the Kingsessing section of the city late Wednesday morning.

Police say a group of eight men were conversing near 55th and Paschall when at least five shots were fired by four different gunmen.

Three of the men struck by gunfire ran into a corner store.

All of the victims were rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. One is currently listed in critical condition.

The shooting occurred near a daycare, but fortunately because of the weather no children were outside.

Authorities are looking at surveillance cameras in the area for more information on the shooters. Police did recover a gun from the scene.

No word on a motive at this time.
