Police Investigating Suspected Overdose Deaths Of 2 Men At Drexel Hill Halfway House

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) -- Upper Darby police are investigating the suspected overdose deaths of two men at a halfway house in Drexel Hill. Police say it happened Wednesday night at the Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems facility on the 100 block of Burmont Road.

When officers were called to the scene, they found two people dead from apparent overdoses.

Police say they found evidence of meth use.

"We believe that the methamphetamine also had fentanyl in it and that's what killed him, the fentanyl. But, obviously we got to wait for the toxicology report, we got to wait for the medical examiner's report, and we got to wait for our investigation to conclude," Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said.

A third person who said they were using meth with those who died showed up at a hospital for treatment.

Police are searching for two others who they believe were also involved in drug use at the facility.

If anyone has information about this incident, call police at 610-734-7693.
