Police: Investigation Underway Into Murder-Suicide In Delaware
BEAR, Del., (CBS) -- Police are investigating what they are calling a murder-suicide in Delaware.
Tuesday evening, police responded to a home in the unit block of Monferrato Court (Pine Woods) in Bear.
Authorities say upon arrival, officers found the bodies of Jennifer Fertig, 34, and Michael Jackson, 35.
Police say an investigation revealed that while Jennifer was home, Michael arrived later that afternoon.
Authorities say a witness reported hearing a domestic related argument before police arrived to find the deceased couple.
Officials say a preliminary investigation revealed Michael allegedly shot Jennifer with a handgun before taking his own life with the same weapon.
The incident remains under investigation.
