Police: 2 Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Transgender Woman

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a transgender woman in February.

Police arrested 24-year-old Tiffany Lloyd of Cloud Street in Frankford on Tuesday, March 1. A second suspect, 20-year-old Jose Pena of Pratt Street in the Northeast, was arrested on Wednesday.

Both are charged with murder and conspiracy for their involvement in the death of 25-year-old Maya Young on February 20th. Young's body was found in front of a home in the 48-hundred block of Penn Street shortly before midnight that night.

She had been stabbed numerous times in the neck and chest.

Young was rushed to Frankford Aria Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
