Local Pilot, Joel Appel, Flying South To Help Haiti Earthquake Victims

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A local pilot is doing his part to help earthquake victims in Haiti. Joel Appel, who is working with several non-profit organizations, took off Friday morning from Northeast Philadelphia Airport.

Appel's first stops were Boston and Tampa for supplies.

He will take those supplies, including medicine, to some of the hardest-hit areas by the earthquake.
