Sixers Fan Gets '76ers 2015 NBA Champs' Tattoo On Backside
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- There are Sixers fans and then there is this particular Sixers fan, who got "76ers 2015 NBA Champs" tattooed on his rear-end (pictured here).
"[My friends and I] were just lying on the beach and I was just like, 'I think I'm gonna get a tattoo on my butt'," the 20-year-old anonymous die-hard Sixers fan exclusively told CBSPhilly.com. "We were just spewing out ideas. I mentioned the Sixers and my one friend said to get 2015 NBA champs."
The 20-year-old anonymous fan who is a health major at an unnamed university in Philadelphia, agreed to get the 76ers 2015 NBA champs on his rear-end if his friends paid for it, and they did. And he did.
The Sixers, of course, are coming off a 2013 season where they went 19-63. There are reasons to be optimistic if you are a fan of Sam Hinkie's Sixers, like Michael Carter-Williams, Nerlens Noel, and eventually Joel Embiid and Dario Saric. However, winning the championship in 2015 is far from realistic.
"Obviously, it was a joke I don't think the Sixers will win," the anonymous Sixers fan said. "They [my friends] paid for it. It's in a place where no one will see. My big concern was future employers, but they're never going to see my butt."
In today's day and age, when tattoos and tweets can go viral in seconds, the anonymous Sixers fan suspected his backside tattoo might garner some attention.
"I kinda knew there was a chance of it going viral or getting big," he told CBSPhilly.com. "I figured it would get some attention. It's shocking that it actually did."
When asked if he was a Sam Hinkie fan, the anonymous college student quickly yelled, "In Hinkie we trust!"
The young tattooed fan called into 94WIP's afternoon show to explain to Anthony Gargano and Rob Ellis what exactly motivated him to get the tattoo. Listen to the interview below.
