Watch: Phils Rout Futures Squad 19-4

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Some folks thought the Phillies Futures squad would give the big league team a run for their money.
Not quite.
The Phillies routed the Futures team 19-4, behind eight home runs, including a Ryan Howard 7th inning pinch-hit homer opposite field bomb. Howard received a standing ovation before and after the home run.
Odubel Herrera, Darin Ruf, Freddy Galvis, and Cesar Hernandez all hit home runs off of Zach Eflin in the first three innings. Eflin allowed nine earned runs and 11 hits in those three innings.
For the Futures Team, Roman Quinn homered, Dylan Cozens, and J.P. Crawford also homered.
Game two of the Futures Series is Saturday at 1:05 p.m. at Citizens Bank Park.
