Philly's Top Cop Warns That Saints Fan May Be An Undercover Decoy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Extra steps are being taken to protect New Orleans Saints fans attending tomorrow night's NFL playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field.

So, if you pick on a Saints' fan, you might get busted.  That fan may actually be an undercover operative.

Part of the security strategy for Saturday's game involves security officers dressed in Saints jerseys and hats.

"We want everybody to come and have a good game, have no incidents that you guys have to wind up reporting on later," police commissioner Charles Ramsey told news reporters today.  He indicated he'd rather hear news reports about the game and the players, rather than altercations among fans.

Last month, a Detroit Lions' fan claimed that he was pelted with snowballs and beaten unconcious by Eagles' fans outside the stadium -- a claim that police say they were unable to verify.

Philadelphia police chief inspector Joe Sullivan says during the team's last home game, fifteen fans were arrested and nearly 70 were ejected for unruly behavior.
