Philly's Taney Dragons Sets LLWS Ratings Record

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Wednesday night's Little League World Series game between Philly's Taney Dragons and Las Vegas, Nevada---with 13-year-old female sensation Mo'ne Davis on the mound---was the highest rated LLWS game ever to air on ESPN.

According to SI.com, the game received a rating of 3.4 nationally, topping the final round of WGC-Bridgestone Invitational on CBS and the Yankees vs. Red Sox game, both last Sunday.

In Las Vegas, the game received a 16.4 rating and in Philly, a 14.9 rating. Both are Little League World Series records in their respective markets. To put the Philadelphia local rating in perspective, the Flyers vs. Rangers Winter Classic in 2012 received a 9.1 local rating.

With the loss to Las Vegas, the Taney Dragons face Chicago, Illinois on Thursday at 7:30pm E.T. The winner will advance to play Las Vegas on Saturday in the U.S. Championship game, while the loser will be eliminated.
