By Greg Orlandini

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS) -- The World Cup is in full swing, and the KYW Philly Soccer Show is here to get you up to speed.

KYW Newsradio's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by Jeremy Lane, host of the "All Three Points" podcast.   We talk about the US victory over their Cup nemesis Ghana, a team that knocked the Yanks out of the last two World Cups.

The US next takes the field this Sunday, against Portugal.

We also look at some of the other teams, including defending champ Spain, who has been knocked out in the group stages.

We then shift our focus to the Philadelphia Union.  The team won its first competitive match under interim head coach Jim Curtin, with a 3-1 win over Harrisburg in the fourth round of the US Open Cup.

They advance to face the New York Cosmos, at home, next Tuesday.
