Philly Soccer Show: Union Not Getting It Done

By Greg Orlandini

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Three games in eight days and the Philadelphia Union have little to show for it: two points, three goals and no wins. On the KYW Philly Soccer Show, we try to makes sense of it all.

First, KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page's Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by Union and U.S. National Team midfielder Maurice Edu. With the team still sitting on one win for the season, Edu talks about how well the Union are playing despite having trouble finishing off games. He discusses the growing relationship he has with his midfield partners Brian Carroll and Vincent Nogueira.

Then, CBS3's Kevin Kinkead hops on the mic as we dig deep into the issues facing the team -- mainly, what seems to be a lack of game plan against the New York Red Bulls (game recap) and Houston Dynamo (game recap). While the team recorded a shut out against the Dynamo at home, they showed very little offense.

The Union face a struggling Montreal Impact in Canada on Saturday.
