Philly Soccer Show: Union Beats NYCFC, 2-1, in First of Two

By Greg Orlandini

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS) -- The monkey is off the back, as the Philadelphia Union picked up their first win of the year on Saturday.

In today's show, KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by Matt De George, Union beat writer for the Delaware County Times.

The Union picked up a last-minute win, 2-1, at PPL Park, against the expansion team NYCFC.  The game also marked the debut of local product John McCarthy in goal for Philly.

The Union faces the New York team again tomorrow, as they head to the Bronx to play in hallowed Yankee Stadium for the first time in franchise history.
