Philadelphia Public Schools To Close Early Tuesday Due To 'Excessive Heat'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia public schools will be closing early Tuesday due to excessive heat.

The Philadelphia School District tweeted Monday that all public schools will be closing at noon on Tuesday.

"Early dismissal TOMORROW, June 13 at 12 noon due to forecasted excessive heat," the school district said.

Early Childhood Centers will also dismiss at noon.

Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s Tuesday.
