Philly Man Arrested At The Jersey Shore

NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. (CBS/AP) -- Police in New Jersey arrested a man wanted on rape, sexual assault and other charges in Philadelphia after an eight-hour standoff.

Authorities tracked 23-year-old Jamik Washington of Bensalem, Pa, to a home on the 200 West Block of 18th Street in North Wildwood on Monday. North Wildwood officers went to the residence and saw a man inside the house matching Washington's description but he refused to come to the door.

The Cape May County Regional SWAT team surrounded the home.

After eight hours, Washington eventually surrendered and was arrested without incident, according to police.

He's charged with criminal trespassing and obstruction of justice while he awaits extradition to Pennsylvania.
