Phillies To Reportedly Hire Andy MacPhail During 2:30 P.M. Press Conference

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies have announced a 2:30 p.m. press conference on Monday and will, according to multiple reports, hire Andy MacPhail as their top executive.

Phillies ownership partner John Middleton and President Pat Gillick will be at the podium for the announcement.

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that Ruben Amaro Jr. will remain as general manager for now, and a new manager will not yet be named.
