Phillies Sign Outfielder Grady Sizemore To Minor League Deal

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies have agreed to a deal with free agent outfielder Grady Sizemore. The free agent outfielder began the season with the Boston Red Sox and will report to triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Sizemore, 31, batted .216 for the Red Sox. He recorded two homeruns and 15 RBI in 52 games. Sizemore was released from the Red Sox on June 18th.

Sizemore is a career .266 hitter with 226 doubles, 45 triples, 141 home runs, 473 RBI and 139 stolen bases in 944 games. He has suited up for the Indians (2004-11) and the Red Sox (2014). He won a Silver Slugger Award in 2008 when he hit .268 with 39 doubles, 33 home runs and 90 RBI.
