The 31-year-old first baseman hit .259/.363/.455 with 23 homers and 79 RBI's in 154 games last season with the Cleveland Indians. The move likely moves Rhys Hoskins to left field. The Phillies could move Nick Williams or Aaron Altherr next.
Have to say I'm surprised. It moves Hoskins to OF. It suggests that Phils will now trade at least one of Altherr, Odubel or Nick Williams. https://t.co/rAHXw5Zrq5

Santana to 1B, Hoskins to LF.

I'd bet Williams or Altherr in a deal for pitching is the next domino. https://t.co/yPVE3HwRrw
