Phillies Continue Road Trip Tonight In Atlanta

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies road trip continues tonight as they open a four-game series in Atlanta.

This is the final stop on this ten-game trip. The Phillies lost two out of three in both Pittsburgh and Miami.

Right-hander Aaron Nola will get the start on the mound tonight for the Phillies. He is 5-9 with a 4.75 ERA. Nola has really struggled the last month and a half. He has allowed at least four earned runs in six of his last seven starts. The one exception was two starts ago when he looked really good throwing six shutout innings against the Marlins. But his struggles returned in his last start in Pittsburgh as he allowed six runs in four-plus innings of work in a 7-4 loss to the Pirates.

The Phillies are 0-7 in Nola's last seven starts.

The Braves give the ball to right-hander Matt Wisler who is 4-10 with an ERA of 4.92. He's pitched well against the Phillies this season, going 1-1 in two starts with a 2.45 ERA.

Also, the Phils have activated outfielder Aaron Altherr, who had five homers and 22 RBI's in 161 plate appearances last season. Altherr will bat fifth for the Phillies tonight.

The Phillies are 46-57 heading into this series. The Braves sit at 35-66. The Philies have won six of the nine meetings between these two teams this season.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Kevin McAlpin of the Braves Radio Network to get a scout on an Atlanta team that has really struggled this season.
