Phillies, MLB Honor Cole Hamels' First Career No-Hitter

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Saturday was a special day for Cole Hamels. He threw his first career no-hitter in what some are speculating may have been his last game as a Phillie. The impressive showing earned Hamels Co-NL Player of the Week honors along with the Rockie's Carlos Gonzalez.

Hamels made easy work of the Cubs during the Phillies' sweep at Wrigley Field.

He pitched the entire ballgame and registered 13 strikeouts.

While Major League Baseball is honoring Hamels' first no-hitter, the Phillies are following suit with a new t-shirt now available to fans to commemorate Hamels' game.
