Phillies Lose To Rays 6-1

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (AP) — Philadelphia Phillies starter Roberto Hernandez allowed one hit in three shutout innings against his former team in a 6-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday.

Making his first spring-training start of the year, Matt Moore gave up two hits in 1 2-3 scoreless innings with two strikeouts and a walk. He escaped a bases-loaded jam in the first by retiring John Mayberry Jr. on an inning-ending groundout, then retired his first two batters in the second.

Tampa Bay second baseman Ben Zobrist was 0 for 2 in his first game since straining a back muscle during a workout on Feb. 19.

The Rays' Jeremy Moore hit a double and homer in the late innings.
