Phillies Look For Second Straight Win In Miami

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies will continue their series with the Marlins tonight down in Miami.

The Phils snapped a six-game losing streak in the opening game in this series on Labor Day, winning 6-2. Jerad Eickhoff threw six strong innings on the mound and Freddy Galvis had a two-run home run at the plate.

Tonight it will be left-hander Adam Morgan on the mound for the Phillies. He is 1-9 this year with a 6.21 ERA. His last start, though, was one of his best this season, as he allowed just two runs in 6 2/3 innings of work, but suffered a 2-1 loss.

This will be Morgan's first start against the Marlins this season. Last year he pitched against them once, getting a no-decision on July 17th, 2015. He allowed two runs on four hits in 6 1/3 innings in a game the Phillies eventually won, 6-3.

The Marlins will start right-hander Jose Urena. He is 3-5 this season in 23 appearances (seven starts) with a 5.40 ERA. Her has a 1.86 ERA in 9 2/3 career innings against the Phillies.
