Phillies' Fans Ever-Hopeful Watching Opening Day Game

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's opening day, as the Philadelphia Philies began their season this afternoon, on the road against Texas.
But there's certainly less optimism among Phillies fans than there has been in recent years.
With a fourth-place finish last season, and a feeble offensive showing in spring training, the Phillies aren't raising the hopes of fans such as Doug Dillon of Broomall, Pa. (second from left in top photo).
"I think they're going to break even this year," he said while watching the opening game on television at the Xfinity Live sports venue in South Philadelphia. "I really think they're going to have an opportunity, but I have no expectations this year. Everything is uphill this year, from my expectations."
Tommy Greene -- a member of the pennant-winning 1993 Phillies team -- says the 2014 team has a shot, but it's a long one.
"There's a lot of things that have got to go right, I think," he said today. "And that's why we play the games."
