Phillies Hoping For Better Luck On The Road

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After a disastrous 0-6 homestand, the Phillies take to the road for nine straight games. Tonight they open a three-game series in Minnesota against the Twins.

The Phillies have lost seven straight and 24 of their last 30 to drop to 11 games under .500 at 30-41. During their current seven-game losing streak they have scored a total of 12 runs. For the season, the Phillies are hitting .225 as a team, easily the lowest average in all of Major League Baseball.

Minnesota has struggled all season long. The Twins are 21-48 and that is the worst record in all of baseball.

Aaron Nola gets the ball in this series opener for the Phillies. The right-hander is 5-6 with a 3.51 ERA. His last two starts have been brutal. In losses to Washington and Toronto, Nola has allowed 12 runs (10 earned) on 15 hits in just 6 2/3 innings. This will be his first ever appearance against the Twins.
Minnesota will start right-hander Tyler Duffey. He is 2-6 and his ERA is 5.56.
