Philadelphia's Wills Eye Hospital Ranked #2 in U.S.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A survey of the best hospitals in the country places Wills Eye Hospital, in center city Philadelphia, right near the top of its category.
Wills Eye, at 9th and Walnut Streets, comes in #2 on the list of best eye hospitals in the United States compiled by US News and World Report, right behind a hospital in Miami.
Wills Eye's ophthalmologist-in-chief, Dr. Julia Haller (below), says the voting is done by peers.
"These are physicians around the country who are ophthalmologists who have voted on where they would send their most complicated patients," she notes, "so we view this as a real vote of confidence in our partnership with these colleagues in eye care around the country who have trusted their patients to us."

Several other Philadelphia hospitals have also ranked high in their respective categories.
