Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Gearing Up For Very Special Concert
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Even on a Saturday, students at Philadelphia Youth Orchestra were hard at work rehearsing for an upcoming concert with the Indigo Girls.
This is the first time that the Grammy-winning folk rock band will perform with the group and the kids say they can't wait for the big show:
"I'm excited," says orchestra member Rebecca Krown. "I think it's going to go real well. we have been working on the music for a while so yeah it will be great. I've never done anything before with a Grammy winning artist or in the realm of pop orchestra, so it will be really interesting to see how it turns out."
The orchestra performs with the Indigo Girls on Sunday, April 12th at the Kimmel Center.
