Blustery Tuesday in Philadelphia with wind chills in the teens and 20s. Here's the forecast.
Layer up today, as temperatures stay in the low to mid 30s, with gusty winds. Those winds will make much of the area feel between 15 and 20 degrees throughout the afternoon. While the Wind Advisory subsides after 1 p.m., gusty winds will continue throughout the day and even into tonight.
NEXT big weather change
A cold and blustery pattern remains in place through midweek as strong west winds gradually ease later today. Gusts peak this morning while the wind advisories are in effect, then slowly diminish this afternoon. Skies stay mostly cloudy with only spotty light snow showers and no accumulation expected.
Tonight stays cold and breezy with lows in the teens and low 20s, and a few isolated snow showers possible toward daybreak Wednesday.
New Year's forecast
Wednesday and Thursday continue the winter feel. A weak cold front moves through Wednesday night, bringing a chance for snow showers, mainly north of I-78, with only light accumulations possible in the Poconos.
New Year's Day turns colder and breezy again behind the front, with highs mostly below freezing and wind chills running well below actual temperatures. Bundle up if you're heading to the Mummers Parade – we may be chasing a few flurries for the first half of the day, too.
High pressure builds in late Thursday into Friday, setting up drier but still cold conditions as we head toward the weekend.
