1 dead in Kensington quintuple shooting: Philadelphia police

Police believe shooting at Kensington garage was targeted

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are looking for three suspects who shot five men inside of a garage in Kensington, killing one of them, on Tuesday night.

The shooting happened inside a garage on the 3400 block of Rorer Street just after 10:30 p.m.

Police tell us this was a targeted attack, and that the man who died was the intended target. The man was identified as Christian Figueroa.

Four of the victims were brought to Temple University Hospital after the shooting, where 3 of the men are in critical condition and fighting for their lives.

Police say 3 gunmen entered a garage where they detailed cars and ATVs. We're told the gunmen were wearing masks and carrying semi-automatic handguns.

Within seconds they started shooting, police say.

"A 39-year-old was shot in the face, the head, chest, multiple times, pronounced dead on the scene," Philadelphia police Chief Inspector Scott Small said. "We know that at least 50 shots were fired. ... We found over 50 spent shell casings on the sidewalk in front of the garage and inside the garage."

Police are hoping surveillance cameras found around and outside the garage will be helpful in identifying the gunmen.

Police are working to find a motive for the shooting.
