Philadelphia Principals, School District Come To Agreement

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia's principals union has reached a tentative agreement on a new contract with the School District.
The last contract the principals union reached with the school district included serious concessions. Principals agreed to become 10-month, instead of 12-month employees -- amounting to a 16% pay cut.
The current three-year deal expires at the end of August, and talks on a new contract have been ongoing since January.
Commonwealth Association of School Administrators president Rob McGrogan says he'll present the new deal to his 480 members next Wednesday.
"I certainly wouldn't stand before my members and present them anything that would be concessionary. And I believe we have accomplished that with what will be presented next week," said McGrogan.
The school district is confirming the deal but not commenting further.
