Philadelphia Police Searching For Suspect Who Fled Scene Of Fatal Hit-Run Accident

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police in Philadelphia are looking for a suspect who fled the scene of a hit and run accident.

According to police, on Feb. 17, 2014 around 5 p.m., the victim, a 32-year-old male, was standing on the shoulder of the westbound lane of the 6200 block of Kingsessing Avenue attempting to repair his bicycle.

During that time, a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee traveling west on Kingsessing Avenue struck the victim, leaving him with severe head injuries.

The vehicle briefly came to a stop before continuing to travel west on Kingsessing Avenue.

The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he later died of his injuries.
