Philadelphia Police Investigate Deadly Shooting In Poplar

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the shooting death of a man in the city's Poplar neighborhood overnight.

It happened shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday at 6th and Spring Garden Streets.

Police says a 21-year-old man was shot once in the chest.

He was transported to Hahnemann Hospital where he was later died.

The victim's identity was not immediately released.

Police have no suspects and no arrests have been made.

The shooting is under investigation.
