Philadelphia Police Hunting For Serial Hotel Robber

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for a robber who has targeted seven hotels in Southwest Philadelphia and Tinicum Township.

According to investigators, the suspect's robbery spree began on December 20th and the most recent robbery occurred on December 23rd.

In addition to taking cash from the registers, detectives say the suspect is also taking cash and valuables from employees and customers.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-35 years-of-age, 6'0″-6'2″, 185 lbs., with a thin build.

In some of the robberies, the suspect has been seen wearing a bright yellow construction type vest with the letters "PWD" printed on the back and camouflage pants.

In other robberies, he was wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket and blue jeans. The suspect also disguises his face with a black mask and dark sunglasses.

He was observed operating a newer model silver Honda Accord.
