Philadelphia Orchestra Prepares For A Brand New Season

By R. J. McKay

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Orchestra is ready for a brand new season.

"The 2014-15 Season is the third season with our music director, Yannick Nezet-Seguin. The way that he plans out seasons is that each concert tells a story, and each concert has some connection to an overall theme in the season," explained Jeremy Rothman, the vice president of artistic planning at the Philadelphia Orchestra, who offered a brief preview of the 2014-15 Season.

Rothman also added that the opening show has a special guest who is a Philly favorite.

"Lang Lang will be the pianist playing the Mozart concerto, so anytime that Lang Lang is here in Philadelphia, it's a special homecoming for him," Rothman said.
