Philadelphia Orchestra Association & Musicians Announce Tentitive Agreement To End Strike

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Orchestra Association and musicians reached a tentative agreement of a new collective bargaining agreement with the musicians of The Philadelphia Orchestra.

At a committee meeting on Sunday afternoon, the executive and human resources committees of the board of directors of The Philadelphia Orchestra voted unanimously to recommend the new contract to the full board. The new contract will be voted on at a special meeting of the Board of Directors on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

At a separate meeting on Sunday, the musicians met and voted to ratify the agreement.
