Hearing Delayed For Suspect In Nicki Minaj Tour Member Death

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A court appearance for a Philadelphia man accused of fatally stabbing a member of rapper Nicki Minaj's tour and severely wounding another has been postponed.

A judge Wednesday continued Pierce Boykin's preliminary hearing until April 28. That's when she is expected to determine if there's sufficient evidence to send the case to trial.

The 31-year-old Boykin is charged with murder in the Feb. 18 stabbing death of 29-year-old Devon Pickett outside a bar in the city's West Oak Lane section.

Police said the fight began when a man started arguing with the victims inside the bar at about 2 a.m. and pulled a knife once they got outside.

Minaj says the crew members had arrived in Philadelphia to rehearse for a tour.

Boykin is jailed without bail.
