Philadelphia Flower Show Offers Discounted 'Snow Special' Tickets Today Only

By Steve Tawa

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The organizers of the Philadelphia Flower Show had a one-day special today in case the threat of snow was keeping you away from the event.

Forecasters watching several computer models initially indicated that we could get 6-10 inches, but we were spared major accumulations in the city.

Still, if it affected your plans, Drew Becher, the president of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, says they're running a discount.

"We have a thing that we have dubbed the 'snow ticket' this year."

The price break, through midnight Monday, could be found only on the Flower Show's web site, theflowershow.com.
"You can get everything that a regular ticket would get," Becher says.  "It's a $20 snow special to get people thinking spring.  And you know, we need it!"

The $20 special ($7 cheaper than regular tickets purchased in advance) can be used any day during the run of the show, through Sunday.  Tickets purchased at the box office remain at $32.
